This is a causeway project (bordering Tampa & Clearwater, FL) in which we constructed a 3-sided cofferdam totaling 396 linear feet of 7’ high Portadam equipment. Johnson Bros Construction’s (a Southland Company) plan was to cut into the causeway in order to construct a channel and build a bridge across. One of the challenges was to make sure our equipment did not affect the sea grass that was protected & staying within the limits of where the permitted impact areas were. The other challenge was that this cofferdam was in place during the hurricane season.
Our cofferdam equipment enables contractors to responsibly perform their in-water work in a dry condition.
